Originally launched as ‘Glucozade’ in 1927 by chemist, William Hunter, Lucozade was the first to combine great taste with glucose and was used extensively throughout hospital wards and pharmacies in the years that followed. \n\nFast forward 90 + years, Lucozade Energy is now the UK’s biggest energy brand and has evolved into a fun and vibrant drink enjoyed by millions of consumers. We also launched Lucozade 'Zero' so that customers can enjoy the great taste of Lucozade without the sugar. \n\nWe are always bringing out new and exciting flavours to fit the ever changing consumer trends, but ultimately we still have the great taste at the core of Lucozade Energy. \n\nAs well as tasting great, we also try to do great things to ensure we're doing our bit for a sustainable future! All of our bottles are fitted with our new 60% transparent sleeve. This gives all our recyclable products the best chance of being turned back into bottles and used again.
